of Providence of Western Canada!
The Sisters of Providence is an
international congregation, founded in Montreal by
Blessed Emilie Gamelin to serve the poor and less
fortunate in our society. We have a special devotion and
love for our Mother of Sorrows whose compassion and
attention to all persons is what we hope inspires and
informs all our works.
This website introduces you to the
Sisters of Providence and helps you to know more about
the works and ministries we carry out in conjunction
with our Providence Associates and numerous other lay
collaborators who witness to the loving presence of God
in our society.
We hope that all those who visit this
site will come to know us a little more and even be
inspired to join us on this Providence journey as
together we strive to make the world we live in a better
place.
