On July 12th at St. Gerard's Church in Calgary, AB, Sister Azenette Trongco, SP and Sister Mae Valdez, SP collaborated with the St. Jude Syro-Malankara Catholic Mission community in Calgary to hold a Summer Bible Camp for kids. They were joined by Father Ajeesh Cherivuparambil and two seminarians from the Diocese of Calgary: Mikhel Sari and Evin George. Read below for Sister Azenette's experience and click here to watch the video of the camp.

I had a wonderful time with the kids during camp. It was a truly life-giving experience for me — and I hope it was for the children as well. If I had to choose a favourite moment, it would be the craft activity where the children created bookmarks with Bible verses for prisoners. It was such a thoughtful and inspiring initiative, and I’m especially grateful to Sister Toyleen Fook for arranging to have the bookmarks shared with the prisoners where she works. The children showed incredible creativity and artistic expression — it was profoundly moving to see them pour so much heart into something meant to bring hope and encouragement to others.
