Our Story
The Sisters of Providence is a Catholic Religious Congregation of women founded in 1843 by Blessed Émilie Tavernier-Gamelin in Montréal, Quebec. The mission spread from the East to the Canadian West and even to different parts of the world. Today, the Congregation is an international, intergenerational, interdependent, and intercultural community of women Religious.
