“For many years it was not spoken in our house of our Metis status due to the shame.  I have felt a sense of honour to my Metis heritage through the efforts & thoughtfulness made by the Sisters during the TRC week to educate us on the cultural, music and the stories to promote healing of the hearts.”  Charmayne Kehoe – former employee of The Sisters of Providence

Jubilee 2023

“On June 24, 2023, three Sisters of Providence in Holy Angels Province celebrated their Jubilee of Religious Life. Sister Rita Schiller celebrated 70 years of Religious life and Sister Dalisay (Beth) Rayray celebrated 25 years of Religious life. Sister Dolorés Blanchette, who passed away shortly before the Jubilee celebration, would have celebrated her 75 years of Religious life. She is nevertheless, honored and remembered during the celebration.”
